Tons of fish, hairy lobsters, sharks and eels. Who said Laguna Beach diving was boring?

Published on 2014-10-11 16:53:48

It's not because I don't post anything here that I don't go diving. OK most of the time, it means I don't go diving. But over the last few weeks the conditions have been improving greatly off the coast of Laguna Beach and the SOCDC peeps started meeting again for our weekly Saturday dives.

Two weeks ago we did Crescent and today, Mountain again as we had done it last month as well. 3 dives to report, unfortunately not much to brag about. Despite the numerous reports of hammerheads, turtles, seven-gils, great whites, whale sharks, humpbacks and mantas (no, I'm not kidding), we saw the usual suspects. A couple of eels, a lot of abalones, happy lobsters (one of them hairy, ah!), a lone horn shark, a guitar fish (photo sucked though did not make it through QA sorry), and, really, really, tons of fish.

So MLPAs don't work and global warming is a hoax. And a double positive doesn't make a negative.

Yeah, right.

And a video!
